We now have this light shining in our hearts, but we ourselves are like fragile clay jars containing this great treasure. This makes it clear that our great power is from God, not from ourselves.

We have a gift for people inside of us. Some of us get this more than others.  It’s exciting to think you have been picked personally to bring a light. A light that will set the captives free, a light that will bring justice and mercy to those in affliction. We all want to be a Mary, and guess what? We all are!

Yes you! You are God’s anointed one.

Maybe your still wondering exactly how is that going to play out in your life?

The catch is recognizing the gift in others.  Like this shepherd, we are to help those who carry the gift too.  The quickest way to find your particular gift  to the world is start helping those already on their mission.

The shepherds dropped everything.  The angel didn’t tell them to go. He did something way better.  He told them how to recognize the Messiah, the Christ.

When we start looking for God’s gift in other’s, you will find it.  Blessed are those that hunger and thirst after righteousness, for they shall be filled. Matt 5

God’s gift to the world was Jesus wrapped in swaddling clothes. When looking for the gift in others don’t let the wrapping fool you. Some people are like a Christmas gift basket, they just keep giving.
