Humanism – the denial of any power or moral value superior to that of humanity; the rejection of religion in favor of a belief in in the advancement of humanity by its own efforts.

“Humanism is not spiritually neutral, on the contrary it is a delibrate denial and rejection of God’s power and authority. It is an anti-religious religion.  For this reason it can be, and often is taught in the educational systems such as those in America, that prohibit the teaching of religion in its usual sense.” Derek Prince

We are in a time where we need to be diligent as to the why we are doing what we are doing.  Is it for Jesus sake or man’s sake?

There are times I do meet people and think to myself “Their lives would be so much better if they knew Jesus.”   Yes, it’s true, their lives would be better.  Yet that is not the primary reason I reach out to them.  I reach out to them for Jesus sake.  One day we will stand accountable for our motives and intentions.

I believe in causes as long as we are approaching that cause for Jesus sake and not man’s sake. We put our efforts to stop human trafficking for Jesus sake, those girls belong to Him, not man!

There is a public church in China it’s called the Three Self Church they are allowed to do and say what they like as long as they don’t say anything against the government, and it’s laws. (hmmm sounds a little like America’s church and the tax exempt issue) This church is okay as long as they do what the government thinks is good for society – man. This church is approved if it’s for man’s sake, not for Jesus sake.  This is a prophetic warning to us here in the States.

God commands us to love Him with all we got first and then love our neighbors.

“The world is okay loving our neighbors as long as we do it before loving God.” Oswald Chambers

Humanism the force behind the Antichrist
“I believe the exaltation of man (humanism) is the force that will finally give rise to the Antichrist, whose name is “the number of man” (see Revelation 13:18, the man of sin (lawlessness), who opposes and exalts himself above everything that is called God or is worshiped, and even sets himself up in God’s temple, proclaiming himself to be God. (see 2 Thessalonians 2:3-4)”  Derek Prince

Scripture reveals that he will bring under his dominion all who have refused the love of the truth. For this reason, God will send a powerful delusion so that they will believe the lie, the orginal lie Satan deceived Adam and Eve with: “You will be like God” or “like gods.”

Ancient Greece is the place where they believed man is the highest authority in the universe, in other words humanism. The Greeks idolized the human mind.  Aristotle’s idea of God was a perfect mind contemplating itself, because nothing less was worthy of contemplation.  The Greek’s gods had all moral failures leaving an absence for moral code.  This left man free to be his own god, and to establish his own moral code. So much for holiness.

Now don’t get me wrong I love Greek people.  I’m not saying away with all Greeks.  I’m saying humanism is a problem.

We have to stop and ask especially in church “It it for man’s sake or Jesus sake?”

God promises tremndous purposes to those who face humanism, a harvest of mercy will come.  Zechariah 9:13 I will stir up your sons, O Zion, against your sons, O Greece.”

Revelations 12:11 “They overcame him [Satan] by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony, and they loved not their lives unto death”

These are the people with one overriding priority; doing the will of God even unto death.

Will these over comers see a harvest, healing, and deliverances? You betcha, not because of man’s might or power but by the Spirit of the Lord and not for man’s sake!  I believe His Glory is about to be released in epic proportions over His church for HIS NAME SAKE!

Let us ask ourselves this weekend: Am I ready to take my stand as one of the sons/daughters of Zion even if it means I’ll be politically incorrect and accused of being heartless?  Are you willing to ask the hard questions like: Is this really for Jesus sake or for man’s sake? Am I doing this in man’s strength or in God’s?  Is this for expanding the Kingdom of God or is this event self indulgent?
